Baker University

Baker University was founded in 1858, by Osmon C. Baker, the Kansas-Nebraska bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church.  As the first university in Kansas, Baker continues to build on its tradition of academic excellence, devoted faculty, and innovative ideas in education. Baker University is committed to bringing adult learners and experienced professors together.

Baker’s School of Professional and Graduate Studies has been providing programs for working adults since 1975.

Baker Degrees

Baker University offers degrees for working adults in business, education, liberal arts and conflict management and dispute resolution.  Our degree programs are designed for adults with different levels of experience, from new students who have never attended a university to those interested in advancing or changing their careers. Baker University offers courses at convenient times and locations– most classes are taught in the evening. Baker University strives to provide an interactive environment, where professors share their practical experience.
